Spinach with Sesame Seed Oil and Walnuts
Author:
Recipe type: Side Dish
Cuisine: Japanese
Serves: 2

Here’s another Spinach dish that is very easy to try and very tasty too. This should take maybe 3 ~ 5 minutes to make. It’s a side dish to go with any main course meals
Ingredients
  • 1 bunch Fresh spinach
  • 2 ~ 3 tbsp. Already Light Crushed Walnuts
  • 1 ~ 2 tbsp. Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1 tbsp. Vinegar
  • 2 pinch of Salt and Pepper

Instructions
  1. Now we are ready to start. First wash the spinach in water. When you are done with that, get a pot filled with water and start boiling it. When the water start to boil, add your spinach to the boiling water and let it set for about 15 to 20 seconds. You don’t want to overdo the spinach here.
  2. When you are done boiling the spinach, put it in a water strainer and run water over it for a bit. Now you need to squeeze the spinach to make sure that you get all the water out of it. Now we are going to cut the spinach into inch an a half, and set them on a dish. We are almost done here.
  3. Now for the walnuts, we need to roast the walnuts in the oven at 240 degrees for 1 ~ 2 minutes. (This is depending on your oven, we don’t have big ovens like western people do. See a photo below to see what I mean). When the walnuts are done, set them on the side for a bit to cool down.
  4. Now we are ready to add everything together. Add the olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper over the spinach that we set on the dish. Then we sprinkle the walnuts over the spinach. (See photo). There we are all done, I hope you enjoy reading my recipe and I hope you enjoy making and eating it too.
