Corn Fritter とうもろこしのかき揚げ

Good Morning Everyone, I love the fall season here in Japan. Not so hot and not so cold either. Well, today’s recipe is called Corn Fritters or とうもろこしのかき揚げ in Japanese. One of my neighbors came by after looking at my Japanese Cooking Recipes, and gave me one of her recipe to post. So I tried with the family and they loved it. It’s very easy to make and very delicious. Well, let’s get the ingredients we need to make our Corn Fritters.
Ingredients
  • 1 can corn, whole type
  • 10g pickled red ginger, cut into thinly strips
  • 2 tbsp black sesame
  • 2 tbsp potato starch
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • a little of salt
  • vegetable oil for deep-fry

Instructions
  1. Combine the whole corn, pickled red ginger and black sesame in a bowl.
  2. Add the potato starch, flour and little of salt and mixing, add the water gradually and mix until stickily.
  3. Preheat oil to 170℃ and deep-fry with bite-size until crispy.
  4. Arrange the corn fritter a plate and garnish with salt.
