Fried Water Spinach 空心菜炒め

Good Morning Everyone, another slow, long day today. I have to work a long shift in an hour from now. sob. So I’m sorry that this description maybe to short. Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is called Fried Water Spinach or 空心菜炒め in Japanese. This makes a great Side dish for any meat main course or it can be made as a main dish if you wish. Well, let’s get started with what we need to make our Fried Water Spinach Dish.
Ingredients
  • 150g water spinach (ku-shin-sai)
  • 100g sliced pork, cut into bite-size
  • 1 clove garlic, cut into chopped
  • 1 red chili pepper, cut into half
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1 tbsp crushed peanut
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce or soy sauce

Instructions
  1. Cut the water spinach into 5㎝ length pieces and cut the pork into 3㎝ square pieces.
  2. Heat ½ oil in a frying pan, and add the water spinach, and fry briefly. Remove them from frying pan, put in a plate, set aside.
  3. Add the ½ oil in a frying pan, and add the garlic and add the red chili pepper, when it becomes to good smell, add the pork and fry. The pork become to the pink, Add the water spinach, season with fish sauce (or soy sauce) and sugar, and continue fry, and add the peanut , stir-fry briefly. Serve immediately.
