Miso Soup with Turnip and Deep-fried Tofu

Good Morning everyone, the sun has finally shown it’s brightness. But, it’s a bit chilly. Well, now we know that Autumn is here’ll Well, today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is called Miso Soup with Turnip and Deep Fried Tofu or かぶと油揚げのみそ汁 in Japanese. This very good for your morning breakfast or for those chilly mornings during the cold seasons. Also good when you are sick and after you had to much to drink the night before. This is a very easy and simple recipe to make and very tasty. Well, let’s see what we need to make our Miso Soup with Turnips and Deep Fried Tofu.
Ingredients
  • 1 turnip
  • ½ deep-fried tofu
  • 400 cc dashi stock
  • 1½ tbsp miso

Instructions
  1. Cut the turnip into 8 equal pieces and 1㎝ lengthwise pieces for leaves. Cut the deep-fried tofu into 1㎝ wide pieces.
  2. Pour the dashi stock in a pot, bring to the boil, add the turnip and deep fried tofu. When the turnip is soften, turn off the heat, add the miso gradually into soup.
