Creme Brulee クレーム ブリュレ

Good Morning Everyone, I hope everyone is having a great week. Hhhmm Nothing new to report from Japan today, but just cold weather. Lol Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is a little bit different, this is actually a recipe brought over from France and changed over to Japanese Style. I could be wrong here, so I will have to research a bit more on this recipe. Well, it’s called Creme Brulee or クレーム ブリュレ in Japanese. This recipe is one of my family favorites, it may be a little tricky to make.(Hoping that you have the utensils). Enjoy. Well, let’s see what we need to make our Creme Brulee Recipe shall we.
Ingredients
  • 3 egg yolk
  • 700 cc milk
  • 140 cc fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp granules sugar
  • ⅓ vanilla beans
  • brown sugar

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 170℃. Place the milk, fresh cream, granules sugar and vanilla beans in a pan, over a low heat and warm to 50℃.
  2. Beat the egg yolk, add the “1” and mix well, strain mixture and pour into ramkins.
  3. Place the ramkins on tray and place the tray on over rack, pour boiling water into tray to halfway up the side of ramkins.
  4. Bake 30-40 min in the preheat oven, when baked, let stand cool and chill ramkins in refrigerator for 4-6 hours.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle the brown sugar and use kitchen torch to brown top or use over broiler for 2-3 min.
