Today’s Cooking Japanese Style is called Fried Duck with Honey Miso or 鴨のはちみつ味噌の漬け焼き in Japanese. This is a very delicious dish and my family just loves this recipe. We usually have to go to a specialty meat shop for us to buy duck, because they usually don’t sell it in the supermarkets. They are also a little expensive too. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Let’s see what ingredients we need to make our Fried Duck with Honey Miso.
Ingredients
  • 1 fillet(large) duck
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup miso
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 white parts of long green onion
  • lemon or kabosu

Instructions
  1. Combine the honey and miso, and mix. Then, coat the honey-miso to the duck, let stand for 4 hours.
  2. Cut the long green onion into julienne strips, soak it in cold water, and drain well.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan, fry the duck both side (medium rare). Arrange the duck in a plate, and garnish with long green onion and lemon or kabosu.
