Well, today on Cooking Japanese style we have a recipe called Grilled Marinate with Spanish Mackerel or 鰆の漬け焼き in Japanese. This is a very delicious dish for the family when Mackerel is in season, like it is now in Japan. Not so expensive fish here in Japan. Very simple to make also. Enjoy Let’s see what we need to make our Grilled Marinate with Spanish Mackerel Dish.
Ingredients
  • 300g Spanish mackerel
  • 3 + ⅓ tbsp sake
  • 4 tbsp mirin
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ long green onion

Instructions
  1. Cut the Spanish mackerel into 12 pieces and sprinkle the salt, let stand for 10 min.
  2. Place the sake and mirin in a pan and boil briefly. Add the soy sauce and boil briefly again and let stand cool and set aside.
  3. Wash the Spanish mackerel and wipe well with paper towel. Cut the long green onion in 4 equal pieces.
  4. Grill the Spanish mackerel and long green onion with fish grill and soak in sake, mirin and soy sauce mixture for 20 min fish is still hot.
