Deep-Fried Tofu with Curry Sauce 揚げ出し豆腐のカレーあんかけ

Well, today on Cooking Japanese Style we have a recipe called Deep-Fried Tofu with Curry Sauce or 揚げ出し豆腐のカレーあんかけ in Japanese. My family loves when I make some mixed with curry, and I think that your family will feel the same way too. This is a very simple recipe to make; I hope you enjoy this recipe. Let’s see what we need to make our Deep-Fried Tofu with Curry Sauce.
Ingredients
  • 1 pack tofu
  • 200g sliced pork
  • 1 long green onion
  • 4 shiitake mushroom
  • ¼ bunch trefoil
  • starch
  • deep- fry for oil
  • For Curry Sauce:
  • 360 cc dashi stock
  • 30 cc soy sauce
  • 30 cc mirin
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • starch dissolved in the water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions
  1. Wipe the tofu and take lightly water and cut into 8 pieces. Cut the sliced pork into bite-size pieces. Cut the long green onion in diagonal cut. Cut the shiitake mushrooms into thinly slice. And cut the trefoil into 1㎝ lengths pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the pork, long green onion, shiitake mushrooms, and trefoil and fry. When the pork become too good color and good smell, Add the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and curry powder and boil. When it boiled, add the starch dissolved in the water to thicken.
  3. Coat with starch to tofu and deep- fry in oil on 170℃ until crispy.
  4. Put the deep- fried tofu on a plate and pour over the curry sauce on top of tofu.
