Good Morning Everyone, hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  It was raining all weekend here, so there wasn’t much going on around the house.  I have been work on some new projects for the site and started a new site which should be up hopefully at the end of this month.  More details on this coming soon.

Naan ナン
Author:
Recipe type: Side Dish, Bread
Serves: 2

Monday’s recipe is a simple one called Naan which we use and I’m sure others do to when eating curry.
Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp yogurt
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 250 cc warm water (about 30℃)
  • 500g bread flour
  • 1 tbsp dried yeast
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
  1. Put the yogurt, vegetable oil, honey and warm water in a large bowl, and mix with whisk. Add 250g bread flour while sifting, and add the dried yeast, then mix well until smooth.
  2. Add the other bread flour while sifting and salt, and knead for about 10 min. Once dough is smooth, wrap with plastic film and let stand 1 hour (or until it doubles in volume) in a warm place.
  3. Cut the dough in 14 equal pieces and shape it into ball, let stand for about 10 min.
  4. Roll and stretch dough with rolling pin, and heat the frying pan over a medium low heat, and bake the dough for both side until they are brown some place.
