Hello Everyone, it may look like we almost forgot to post Wednesday’s recipe for you all.  Don’t worry we didn’t we are testing on when a good time to sent out a post, cause most of the people that comes by are from mostly outside of Japan and majority are from the U.S.  So we will posting on our evening instead of our mornings and see how much traffic it bring with the change.

Here in Japan it’s summer and that means a lot of Summer Festivals around Japan will be going through out Japan.  This coming weekend will be a Summer Festival in Takatsuki, Japan on August 7 ~ 8.  We may be helping out some friends during this festival, by selling Asahi Beer(Sponsor by Asahi) and some great Chicken Karaage, Kushi Katsu, and many many more.  We will try to get some photos of the food being served, so you all can get an idea what kind of foods are being served during these Summer Festivals.

Chicken and Burdock with Cream Pasta チキンとごぼうのクリームパスタ

Well, back to Wednesday’s recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is a dish called Chicken and Burdock with Cream Pasta or チキンとごぼうのクリームパスタ in Japanese. As you all may know all ready, my family are all chicken eaters and this is one of the dish they love to eat. Very delicious, tender, and very easy to make for dinner. Enjoy and we will see you all tomorrow with another great recipe.
Ingredients
  • ½ burdock
  • 160g spaghetti or other pasta your choice
  • 2 asparagus
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 20g butter
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions
  1. Cut the chicken into bite- size. Scrape off the skin of burdock and shavings and keep in cold water and drain. Cut the asparagus in diagonal cut.
  2. Heat the oil into a frying pan, add the garlic. When it the become to flavor, add the chicken and cook. Chicken is almost cooked, add the burdock and cook. Add the fresh cream, butter, and salt.
  3. Boil the spaghetti in ample water with salt and drain, add the spaghetti into a sauce and toss. Sprinkle the black pepper
