Hello everyone,  Sorry for the delay on the recipes.  As you can see, my hubby worked these pass 3 days putting up the new look and rearranging all of the recipes.  So now it gives a much cleaner look and so much crowdy look, so I hope that you all like the new look.  We will be adding some new categories from next and we will looking to start a new link page that only consist of Foods, Cooking, and Recipes.  If you would like to be added to our list, feel free to contact us by leaving a comment here.

Cold Pasta with Tomato and Basil トマトとバジルの冷製パスタ

Well, back to today’s recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is a dish called Cold Pasta with Tomatoes and Basil or トマトとバジルの冷製パスタ in Japanese. It’s been really hot here in Japan and I really didn’t feel like eating any hot meal for dinner. So I made this dish, cause I have been growing my own basil and I thought it was a good time to eat what I have grown. It turn out to be very delicious and the family loved it. So if you are looking for a easy pasta recipe to make for those hot summer days this is the dish for you.
Ingredients
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 4 medium size fruit tomato
  • 6 leaves basil
  • 40g sliced bacon
  • 4 pieces black olive
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • pinch of sugar

Instructions
  1. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces, and basil, black olive into chop. Cut the bacon into strips and fry until crispy.
  2. Place the tomatoes, basil, black olive, and fried bacon into a bowl. Add the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, loon juice, sugar, salt and pepper and mix well. Let stand cool in refrigerator.
  3. Boil the spaghetti in ample with salt and rinse in running water and drain well.
  4. Boiled spaghetti and Dressing sauce together and toss.
