Baked Papaya with Coconut Milk 焼きパパイヤのココナッツミルク添え
 
 
Today’s Japanese Cooking Style is called Baked Papaya with Coconuts Milk or 焼きパパイヤのココナッツミルク添えin Japanese. This is something really different if you have not tried baked papaya. Ingredients
  • 1 whole papaya
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp condensed milk
Instructions
  1. Put the papaya on the work surface, keeping it stable Cut a thick slice or wedge from the upper side of the fruit and keep to use as a lid later, scoop out the seeds from the remaining section.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the coconut milk, heavy cream and condensed milk, pour into the hollowed out papaya, taking care not to overfill.
  3. Cut the papaya lid back on and wrap in heat resistant plastic wrap, microwave on medium for about 5-6 min until the sauce is very hot. Remove carefully from the microwave.
  4. Immediately take off the wrap, carefully spoon out the papaya flesh and hot sauce into small bowls and serve.
