Well, back to the cooking. Today’s Cooking Japanese Style is called Spicy Pickled or スパイシーピクルス in Japanese. This a great side dish if your family loves the spicy foods. It also goes great with beer or Japanese Sake (Japanese Wine). Enjoy Let’s see what we need to make our Spicy Pickled dish.

Ingredients
  • 2 paprika (red, yellow, or orange )
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 small size onion
  • 1½ tsp curry powder
  • 3-4 leaves laurier
  • 15 whole black pepper
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 200ml wine vinegar
Instructions
  1. Cut the paprika and zucchini into bite-size, and cut the onion into thinly slice.
  2. Boil the vegetable in salted hot water for about 30-40 second and drain, and pour 350ml remaining boiled liquid into another pot. Add the curry powder, laurier, black pepper, salt, sugar, and wine vinegar into the pot, and bring to the boil briefly, and add the vegetables, mix briefly, and let stand cool.
