Well, back to today's recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is one of my favorite dishes to eat for Breakfast called Butter Milk Pancakes or バターミルクパンケーキ in Japanese. I think I can eat this anytime of the day, after I post this recipe I'm going to try to look around other foodie blogs for some great Pancake Recipe. Serves: 3 ~ 4
Ingredients
  • 2 Eggs
  • 250cc Milk
  • 125cc Plain Yogurt
  • Butter Milk" is not popular in Japan, and doesn't sell in typical supermarket. We can't buy them in Japan, so use with milk and plain yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • 190 grams Flour
  • 1½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
Instructions
  1. Preparation: Melt the unsalted butter, and sift the dried ingredients( flour, baking powder, and baking soda)
  2. Drop the egg into a bowl, and beat. Add the milk, yogurt, sugar, and salt and mix well.
  3. Add the dried ingredients and butter and mix until smooth.
  4. Heat the frying pan a medium low heat, and cook the pancake mixture.
  5. Serve with butter and maple syrup or honey.
