Tofu Nugget 豆腐ナゲット

Here’s another easy Japanese Recipe, that my kids like to have in the bento box ever so often. If you ever made chicken nuggets, then making tofu nuggets will be a little easy I think. So let’s get started on what ingredients we need to make this.
  • 1 tray of soft tofu
  • 350g of chicken hamburger
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 1½ tbsp of flour
  • cooking oil (preference for deep frying)
  • Mustard Sauce:
  • 2 tsp of mustard
  • 2 tsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vinegar
  • 1 tsp of water

  1. First add the chicken hamburger, salt, pepper, flour, and tofu into a larger mixing bowl. Then mix all the ingredients together with your hands.
  2. Next add you cooking oil to your frying pan and making sure that you have your fire on medium heat. Roll your mix into a small nugget like shape and add slowly and carefully into the deep frying oil. Let it cook for about 3 – 4 minutes.
  3. Last but not least, mix all your ingredients for the mustard sauce. Once that this is done you are ready to server.
