Japanese Recipe for Mochi Ko

Here’s a Japanese Recipe called Mochi Ko, Another easy recipe for you and the kids to make together. They will also enjoy eating this one too. So let’s get started with what we need to make our Mochi Ko. Now that we have all of our ingredients, let’s get started with our cooking.
  • 2 tbsp of mochi ko (mochi flour)
  • 2 tbsp of coconuts milk
  • 2 tbsp of water
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Topping:
  • 1 tbsp of pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp of white sesame
  • 1 ~ 2 pieces of dried mango

  1. First we need to add all of our main ingredients into a bowl and mix. When we are done mixing, set this on the side so we can work on our topping.
  2. Now for our topping we need to roast sesame and pine nuts in a frying pan. Then chop our dried mango into small pieces. (Note: roast the sesame and pine nuts without oil.)
  3. Next put all your ingredients into a plate, so that we can steam it in the steamer for about 7 ~ 8 minutes.
  4. Once you are done steaming, let it cool down for a couple minutes. Then add your toppings and if you like you can add some coconuts milk also to your preference.
