Green Peas Rice 豆ごはん

Good Morning Everyone, I hope everyone have a great day. Well, today’s recipe is called Green Peas Rice or 豆ごはん in Japanese. It’s very simple and easy to make. I usually have the kid make this, while I observe them have fun making them. You can make for dinner, as we usually make this when we go out to have picnics or outings. Well, let’s get started with what we need to make our Green Peas Rice. Shall we.
  • 2 cups rice
  • ½ tbsp chicken stock powder
  • 2.4 cups water
  • ½ tbsp sake
  • ½ tbsp light soy sauce
  • ¾ cup fresh or frozen green peas
  • salt

  1. Wash the rice and drain in a sieve 30 min before cooking.
  2. Place the washed rice, water, chicken stock powder, sake and light soy sauce in a rice cooker, and mix well. Add the green peas, and cook as usual.
  3. When cooked, lightly mix in the peas, taking care not to be break up the peas.
  4. Season with a little of salt, and serve.
