Here’s another salad I really like eating, cos I like pumpkin. I have never had this type salad until came to Japan. I think I had it someone house party and they had this salad and other different salads to choose from and this caught my eyes and my taste buds. When I tried it I said to my self I need to make this for myself. So here’s the recipe for Japanese Pumpkin Salad. Enjoy

Japanese Pumpkin Salad

  • 150 g pumpkin sliced in small pieces
  • 1 tsp onion
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 pieces of sliced ham
  • salt and pepper (to your taste)

  1. Firstly we need to boil some water enough to fit the pumpkin. boil the pumpkin for about 10 to 12 minutes, so we can get the pumpkin soft enough to mash up. When the pumpkin is done, put it in a mixing bowl and start mashing it up.
  2. Now that the pumpkin is nice and soft we can add our other ingredients. Add your onions, mayonnaise and sliced ham. Mix everything well, until you got the mayonnaise mixed in.
  3. Now your done and ready to serve. I like to put in the refrigerator 30 minutes to hour before serving.
