Good Morning Everyone, I hope everyone is doing great today. Today’s Japanese cooking Recipe is called Butter Asparagus with Soft Fried Egg or アスパラバター焼きと目玉焼き in Japanese. This is one of my favorite side dish to make when I have guest over or when asparagus is not so expensive here. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Let’s get started with what we need to make our Butter Asparagus with Soft Fried Egg.
  • 6 asparagus
  • 80cc water
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tbsp butter
  • pinch of salt
  • parmesan cheese

  1. Peel the asparagus and cut in bottoms and half-length pieces.
  2. Place the asparagus, water, and salt in a frying pan, over a high heat with cover, and steam fry for 1-2 min.
  3. After 1-2 min, take off the cover, and add the egg to some space in frying pan. Cover again, place the medium heat and steam fry for about 2-3 min.
  4. When it almost liquid is gone, put the butter and season with salt and pepper. Place then on a plate, sprinkle the parmesan cheese.
