Good Morning Everyone, It’s a very chilly day here in Japan. I hope everyone is doing great today. Well, today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is called Watercress and Onion Salad or クレソンと玉葱のサラダ in Japanese. This is very healthy salad and very easy to make. I hope that you enjoy this recipe. Here’s a question for you, what’s your favorite salad? Well, let’s get started with what we need to make our Watercress and Onion Salad.
  • 2 bunch watercress
  • ½ onion
  • 3-4 tbsp “TEN-KASU” (bit of deep fried tempura batter)
  • 1 tbsp ponzu
  • 1 tbsp dashi soy sauce

  1. Cut the water cress into half lengthwise pieces, and cut the onion into thinly slice and rinse in the cold water for about 5 min and drain on a sieve.
  2. Combine the ponzu sauce and dashi soy sauce and mix. Dress the watercress and onion. Arrange to the plate, sprinkle the “TEN-KASU”on top.
