Simmered Sardine with Sesame Vinegar 鰯のごま煮

Good Morning Everyone, I hope that everyone is doing well. It been a great week so far, we are going to try some new stuff for the site to see how things work out. I will explain more in my Update Post later today. Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is called Simmer Sardine with Sesame Vinegar or 鰯のごま煮 in Japanese. If you like Sardine you will definitely love this recipe. This can be a main course or a side dish for any main course. Enjoy. Let’s get started with what we need to make our Simmered Sardine with Sesame Vinegar.
Ingredients
  • 4 sardine
  • A:
  • 140cc water
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp grid sesame

Instructions
  1. Cut off the sardine’s head, remove the insides and wash with cold water and dry and pat with paper towel.
  2. Place the ingredients for “A” into a pan, and bring to the boil. Add the sardine and skimming off the foam, Simmer for about 2-3 min, over a medium heat, then add the grind sesame with drop-lid and simmer over medium heat for about 7-8 min. Remove the drop-lid, continue simmer until almost liquid is gone.
