Clear Soup with Tofu 豆腐のすまし汁

Good Morning everyone, It’s another new week has come. I hope everyone had a great weekend and Halloween. We don’t have Halloween here, but it’s great to see the costumes that people where on this day. Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is called Clear Soup with Tofu or 豆腐のすまし汁 in Japanese. This is very good and health, this is great when someone in the family is sick or great for a cold winter day. My hubby just came down with a cold this weekend, so made this for him. I hope the kids don’t get his cold either. Well, let’s see what we need to make our Clear Soup with Tofu.
  • ½ soft tofu
  • ½ pack white radish sprouts
  • 400 cc dashi stock
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • ⅓ tsp salt
  • ½ grated ginger

  1. Cut the tofu in half, and chop off the roots of white radish sprouts.
  2. Pour the dashi stock in a pot, and bring the boil, and add the soy sauce, tofu and place a low heat for about 5 min.
  3. Season with salt, add the white radish sprouts, and turn off the heat, then arrange in a bowl, garnish with grated ginger.
