Fried Chicken フライドチキン

Well, today’s Japanese Style Cooking is called Fried Chicken or フライドチキン in Japanese. This my family favorites and also mines cause it’s simple to make and delicious too. Enjoy. Let get our ingredients ready to make our Fried Chicken.
  • 1 kg chicken
  • ☆ A:
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sake
  • 4 tbsp water
  • ☆ B:
  • 75ml milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ☆ C:
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • a little of black pepper
  • your taste, chili powder
  • 50g flour
  • 50g enriched flour (bread flour)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • vegetable oil for deep fry

  1. Place the “A” and 1 tsp. of “C” in a bowl, add the chicken and let stand for about 3 hours over.
  2. Mix the milk and egg in another bowl. Wipe excess moisture away from chicken, put on milk and egg mixture. Combine and coat “C”, flour, enriched flour, and salt thoroughly.
  3. Deep fry in oil at 160℃ for about 8min,and drain, let stand 5min, then, Turn up to the heat 180℃ and deep- fry again for about 2min.
  4. Arrange the Fried Chicken on the plate, garnish with mushed potato and corn sauté.
