Home Made Deep-Fried Tofu Ball がんもどき

Well back to the cooking, Todays Japanese cooking Style is called Home Made Deep-Fried Tofu Balls or がんもどき in Japanese. This is like making hamburger meat balls but your using tofu instead. This is very easy and tasty, I think your family will love this Healthy recipe. Enjoy Let’s see what we need to make our Home Made Deep-Fried Tofu Balls.
  • 2 pack tofu
  • 2 shiitake mushroom, cut into thinly slice
  • 5㎝ carrot, cut into 3㎝ lengths strip
  • 50g bamboo shoot, cut into 3㎝ lengths strip
  • ½ bunch mitsuba, chopped
  • ½ tsp sake
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • a little of sugar
  • a little of salt
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • vegetable oil for deep-frying

  1. Wrap the tofu in kitchen paper and put some weight on top to drain off excess water.
  2. Place the tofu in a bowl, and mash, add the sake, soy sauce, sugar, salt and flour, and mix well, add the shiitake mushroom, carrot, bamboo shoot, and mitsuba, and mix well again, shape into 8 balls.
  3. Heat the oil to 170℃, deep-fry the tofu- balls, until float to the surface and light brown color.
  4. Serve with soy sauce, grated ginger and sudachi.
