Dried Plums Compote プラムコンポート

I’m back. Sorry for taking so long. Well this Cooking Japanese Style recipe is called Dried Plums Compote or プラムコンポート in Japanese. This is a great dessert for the family or when you have guest over the house. It very delicious and also very easy to make. I have friend who usually makes her own dried plums, so when she has some extra she send some over to us. Dried plums are kind of expensive here in Japan. Enjoy Let’s see what we need to make our Dried Plums Compote Dessert.
  • 20 dried plums
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp cointreau
  • 200 cc water

  1. Place the water, honey and Cointreau into a pot, over a medium heat. When the honey is melted, add the plums.
  2. Lightly stir, and reduce the low heat, simmer for about 10 min with cover.
  3. Let stand cool and serve with Ice cream or Yogurt.
