Steamed Rice with Octopus タコ飯

Well, today Cooking Japanese Style called Steamed Rice with Octopus or タコ飯 in Japanese. My hubby just loves this dish, cause it goes great with his beer. Lol This is very easy to make and delicious and makes a great side dish for the family. Enjoy. Let’s see what we need to make our Steamed Rice with Octopus dish.
  • 160g boiled octopus
  • 1 knob garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups rice
  • 40ml white wine or sake
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 360 cc water
  • sansho

  1. Cut the octopus into thinly slice, and cut the garlic into mince. Wash the rice and drain the strainer, and let stand 30 min.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the garlic and fry, next add the octopus and fry. Add the rice and fry until transparent to rice.
  3. Add the wine or sake, soy sauce and stir-briefly.
  4. Place the rice into a rice cooker, add the water and turn on the rice cooker.
