Stewed Chicken with Prune 鶏肉とプルーンの煮込み

On Cooking Japanese Style we have a recipe called Stewed Chicken with Prune or 鶏肉とプルーンの煮込み in Japanese. It looks like I’m adding a lot of chicken recipes; I think I better start mixing them up a little. This is a very delicious recipe for the family to enjoy and very easy to make.
  • 5 chicken tights
  • 250g dried prune
  • 1 onion
  • ½ cup brandy
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 2-3 vegetable oil
  • 1 cube chicken soup stock
  • water
  • thyme
  • salt and pepper

  1. Soak the dried prune in brandy for about one night. Cut the onion into mince.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pot, place the chicken, and fry until golden brown color both side. Add the onion, and stir fry until onion is soften over medium heat.
  3. Add the prune with brandy, and white wine, and simmer over a high heat.
  4. Add the water t enough so that ingredients is completely, add the cube chicken soup stock, and thyme, simmer for about 1 hour half, finally, season with salt and pepper.
