Serves: 2

Ingredients
  • 350 g Boneless Chicken Thighs or 2 pieces
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Japanese sake
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp graded ginger
  • sesame seed and chopped green onions (garnish to your taste).

Instructions
  1. Pre-heat your stove medium low, using a non-stick pan.
  2. When your pan is ready place your chicken in the pan skin side down. Using the oil from the chicken to crisp the skin. Fry both sides for about 5 minutes each, while letting your chicken cook get a kitchen paper or paper towel and wipe up the excess oil from the pan.
  3. Next we are going to add sugar, soy sauce, Japanese sake, and ginger. Let the sauce caramelize for about 10 – 15 minutes on each side of the chicken on low heat, so that the sauce becomes thick and the chicken has a shinny glaze look to it.
  4. Almost done take the chicken out let it cool down for about 5 minutes. Then cut into long stripes and put it back into the pan for 5 minutes so that you get the sauce to soak into chicken. Take it out and plate it and add your sesame and green onions to garnish. Done and ready to serve.
