Steamed Pork and Onion Salad 蒸し豚肉と玉葱のサラダ

Serves: 4

  • 350g blocked pork
  • 2 onion
  • 20 leaves basil
  • 2 tbsp Japanese sake
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon, cut in 4 equal pieces
  • salt and pepper

  1. Cut the pork into 4-5 ㎝ wide pieces and sprinkle 14g salt and knead with your hand. Put it into stock bag and add the Japanese sake and let stand for one night in refrigerator.
  2. Cut the onion into thinly slice and cut the basil in mince. Put then into a bowl and add the olive oil and salt mix well.
  3. Wipe the pork with paper towel to excess water. Put some water in a steamer water pot. Bring to the boil. When steam begins from water pot, put the oven sheet and place the pork on top and steam for about 10 min.
  4. Put the steamed pork in a dish plate and put the onion salad on top. Sprinkle a little bit olive oil and garnish with lemon.
