Hello Everyone, hope everyone had a great weekend.  We had a very HOT weekend.  We tried not to use our Air Condition, but we couldn’t. lol

Broccoli Salad ブロッコリーサラダ

Well, Mondays recipe on Cooking Japanese Style we have a dish called Broccoli Salad or ブロッコリーサラダ in Japanese. This is a very healthy dish the family. I hope you enjoy this recipe and we will see you all tomorrow.
  • ½ broccoli
  • 4 pieces of shrimp or prawns
  • 2 white asparagus(canned )
  • 3cm of carrot
  • 1 tbsp of graded onions
  • A: For Dressing
  • ½ cup salad oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pepper (your preference)

  1. First separate the broccoli into bite size pieces and wash in water, and blanch them in salted water and drain and chill in the cold water.
  2. Remove the shell of the shrimp or prawn and de-vein, add your salt to boiling water and add the shrimp or prawn.
  3. Place the canned asparagus on a sieve, pour on boiling water and cut into bite-size pieces.
  4. Make to dressing, combine the all ingredients of “A”, and mix well.
  5. Place the broccoli, shrimp or prawn, and white asparagus on plate, and pour the dressing over top.
