Steamed Chicken with Long Green Onion Sauce 蒸し鶏のネギ醤油ダレ

Thursday’s recipe here on Cooking Japanese Style is a dish called Steamed Chicken with Long Green Onion Sauce or 蒸し鶏のネギ醤油ダレ in Japanese. My family just loves this dish, because it has chicken on of their favorite foods. I just love making any thing that has chicken in it. It’s very easy to make too.   • 200g chicken breast
  • little of salt
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 5㎝ white radish
  • ½ carrot
  • ¼ long green onion
  • For Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ⅓ long green onion, chopped
  • 1 knob ginger, chopped

  1. Place the chicken breast on a heat-resistant plate, and sprinkle the salt and sake. Wrap it with a plastic film loosely, and microwave on 5-7 min, and break into pieces with your hands. Cut the white radish and carrot into thinly slice with peeler. Cut the long green onion into half-length and thinly slice.
  2. Make to sauce: Put the sesame oil, soy sauce, miring, and sugar into a pan, and over a heat. Add the chopped long green onion and chopped ginger, cook until become to flavor.
  3. Arrange the white radish and carrot on a plate, and put the chicken on top. Pour on the sauce.
