Hi everyone, here’s one of the Diet Recipe I have start with and my diet started this pass Monday.  So It’s been a week so far, I weighted my self on Friday and it looks like I lost 1kg.  Hoping to lose a couple more so that I can get into my jeans. lol  So today’s recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is called Chicken with Basil Sauce or  鶏肉のバジルソース in Japanese.  This is a very light dish, that I liked very much and yes the family is also eating the same thing.  I hope you enjoy this dish and I will see you tomorrow for my next Diet Recipe.  Have a great weekend.

Diet Recipe#1 Chicken with Basil Sauce 鶏肉のバジルソース
Recipe type: Diet, Chicken
Cuisine: Japanese
Serves: 1

  • 100g × 2 chicken thigh
  • little of salt and pepper for chicken
  • 2 leaves lettuce
  • 2㎝ carrot
  • 3g basil
  • A: For Basil sauce
  • 2 tbsp grain mustard
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 4 tsp white wine vinegar
  • ⅓ tsp sugar
  • little of salt and pepper (your taste)

  1. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on the chicken.
  2. Cut the basil into mince. Combine the all ingredients of sauce “A”, add the basil and mix well.
  3. Cut the lettuce into bite-size pieces and carrot into in rectangles and boil until tender.
  4. Grill the chicken in oven toaster for about 5-8 min.
  5. Arrange the chicken and pour the sauce on chicken. Garnish with lettuce and carrot.
