Hello everyone.  For some of you, your weekend has already started like me and other are beginning.  Hope that everything will be great, there was suppose to have typhoon this weekend.  It looks like it has come and gone, cause the sun has shown up this morning.  Time to get those dirty laundry in the wash and the house cleaning going.  I think the hubby will take care of both while I work on the Foodie Blog. lol

Spinach Salad ほうれん草サラダ

Well, back to the cooking. Today’s recipe here on Cooking Japanese Style is a very Healthy, Fresh, and Delicious dish called Spinach Salad or ほうれん草サラダ in Japanese. Since the Earth quake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Power plant event in March. Our vegetables here has been very expensive or the markets don’t carry them. Most of our vegetables here in Japanese are grown in the North East of Japan, where the events happen near by. So I couldn’t get any lettuce under 350yen and I wanted to make a salad for dinner one night. So I ended up buying spinach and made this delicious salad for the family. Very simple and quick to make, enjoy and we will see you all tomorrow. Keep on Cooking.
  • 100 grams Spinach
  • Croutons
  • your favorite dressing

  1. Wash the spinach and tear into bite-size.
  2. Place the spinach and croutons into a bowl, and mix, pour the dressing into a bowl, and mix well, or arrange the salad and garnish with dressing.
