Here’s a Japanese Recipe for Onsen Tomago or Hot Spring Egg. This something like a poached egg, but a Japanese Style. A lot of people enjoy the style egg with many Japanese Style Dishes. So I figure I separate this from making it with any other dishes. After looking at different ways to make an onsen tomago I found out for, that this is the best way to make them. (After 5 attempts of trying to make it come out perfect). Enjoy
Ingredients
  • 1 or 2 eggs (depends on what you are making it for)

Instructions
  1. Firstly we are going to boil some water, enough water so that the water is covering the whole egg. Wait until the water becomes boiling, turn the heat off and add your eggs. Start you timer for 10 minutes.
  2. Lastly when the timer goes off, drain the hot out of the pot and run cold water on the eggs for 30 seconds. Crack open the egg and you should have a Japanese Onsen Tomago.
