Deep Fried Banana 揚げバナナ

Good Afternoon Everyone, It’s a beautiful day here Japan. Also it’s the last day for Silver Week Holiday too. Well, today’s Japanese Recipe is called Deep-Fried Banana. My kids just love this dessert, that’s when the bananas are not so expensive here and it’s on sale at the supermarket. Well, let’s get started with what we need to make our Deep-Fried Banana Dessert.
  • 2 or 3 Banana
  • 1½tbsp flour
  • 3tbsp rice flour
  • 1½tbsp sugar
  • ⅓tsp baking powder
  • ⅓tsp salt
  • 1tsp white sesame
  • 50g coconuts flakes
  • ¾cup coconut milk
  • vegetable oil for deep-fry

  1. Cut the banana in half and length half.
  2. Place the flour, rice flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, white sesame, coconut flakes, and coconut milk in a bowl, and mix well. Let stand for about 5 min.
  3. Add the banana, and coat the batter gently use your hands. Deep-fry the banana in oil 140-150℃ for 7-10 min and when becomes float up the banana, turn up the heat to 160℃. Deep-fry until golden brown. When the finished fry, drains the tray. Serve immediately.
