Eggnog エッグノッグ

Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is submitted from a friend from the US and it’s a traditional recipe during these special holiday seasons it’s call Eggnog or エッグノッグ in Japanese. This is very tasty and delicious if you haven’t tried it yet. I hope that you enjoy this during the Holiday Seasons. Let’s see what we need to make our Eggnog Recipe.
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup brandy
  • ⅓ cup dark rum
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 cups milk

  1. All ingredients should be very cold.
  2. Beat eggs for 2-3 min, with an electric mixer at medium speed until very frothy.
  3. Gradually beat in sugar, vanilla and nutmeg.
  4. Turn the mixer off and stir in the cold brandy, rum whipping cream and milk. Chill before serving.
  5. Sprinkle individual serving with more nutmeg.
  6. * You can also make it without alcohol, so kids can enjoy it too.
