Shrimp with Chili Sauce エビチリ

Today on Cooking Japanese Style is a dish called Shrimp with Chili Sauce or エビチリ in Japanese. If you love your shrimp and like a little spicy, this dish is for you. Very easy to make and very delicious too. Enjoy and we will see you all tomorrow, have a great and sunny Wednesday.
  • 20 shrimps
  • ½ long green onion
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp sake
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp starch
  • 1 tsp tobanjyan
  • 1 knob garlic
  • 1 knob ginger
  • For Sauce:
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp granules chicken soup stock
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1½ starch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  1. Remove the shell of shrimp and de-vein. Sprinkle the starch and salt and knead well. Wash the shrimp cold water and drain. Put the shrimps in a bowl, and add the sake, sesame oil, starch, salt and pepper and mix well. Set aside.
  2. Cut the long green onion, garlic, and ginger into finely chop Place the all ingredients of sauce into a bowl and mix well.
  3. Boil the shrimps in added oil ( 1 tbsp.) water, and drain.
  4. Heat the oil into a frying pan, add the garlic, ginger, and long green onion and fry over a low heat. When it becomes to good smell, add the tobanjyan and fry.
  5. Add the Ingredients of sauce, and when it becomes to boiling, add the shrimp and toss together.
