Simmered Tofu and Roe of Pollock 豆腐と明太子煮

Well Wednesday’s recipe is called A Simmer Tofu and Roe of Pollock or 豆腐と明太子煮 in Japanese. I think this is a unique recipe using tofu and roe, very tasty and easy to make for the family. Try it and let us know hoe it went for you. Enjoy and we will see you tomorrow.
Ingredients
  • 1 roe of pollock(mentaiko)
  • 1 pack tofu
  • ½ bunch mizuna
  • 1 cup dashi stock
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt

Instructions
  1. Cut the roe of pollock into 2-3 equal pieces. Drain the tofu for about 20-30 min, and cut into 8 equal pieces. Chop off the end of mizuna, and cut into 4㎝ length pieces.
  2. Put the dash stock, sake, mirin, soy sauce and salt into a pot, and bring to the boil. Add the tofu, and mizuna and cook. When it cooked, add the roe of pollock and simmer briefly.
