Hello everyone.  Did you all have a good weekend?  It felt like a long weekend, after that event on Saturday to early Sunday morning, Sunday was like a lazy day.  I didn’t feel like doing anything at all, my hubby did everything for me and even did all the cooking.

Diet Recipe#6 Non Fried Croquette 揚げないコロッケ

Well let’s back to the kitchen for some cooking. Today recipe here on Cooking Japanese Style is another diet dish called Non Fried Croquette or 揚げないコロッケ in Japanese. I finally hit my goal for losing my little fat that I gain in the pass month and I hope I keep the weight down from now on. This dish a different way of making your normal croquette and it’s very healthy and easy to make. Enjoy and we will see you tomorrow. Keep on Cooking.
  • 2 Potatoes
  • ½ Onion
  • 2 Shiitake Mushroom
  • 4 tablespoon Bread Crumb
  • 80 grams Ground Meat (beef and pork)
  • 2 teaspoon Flour
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

  1. Peel the potato and wrap with plastic film and microwave on 4 min, and mash still hot.
  2. Cut the onion and shiitake mushrooms into finely chop.
  3. Toast the bread crumbs until golden brown with frying pan, and transfer the other plate.
  4. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion, shiitake mushrooms, and ground meat, and fry.
  5. Combine the mashed potatoes, fried ground meat and vegetable and add the salt and pepper and mix well. Shape to oval.
  6. Coat the flour, beaten egg and toasted bread crumbs, and toast for about 5-6min in a oven toaster.
  7. Garnish with sauce your taste.
