White Radish and Scallops Salad 大根とホタテのサラダ

Well, back to the Cooking. Today’s Cooking Japanese Style is called White Radish and Scallops Salad or 大根とホタテのサラダ in Japanese. This is a very healthy salad and very easy to make for the family. I usually make this when the scallops are on sale at the fish market. This salad goes great with any fish or meat main dish. Enjoy Let’s see what we need to make our White Radish and Scallops Salad.
  • ⅓ white radish
  • 1 small can of scallops
  • 10 shiso leaves( green perilla)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • granulated chicken soup stock (a little)
  • salt and pepper

  1. Peel the white radish and cut into 5-6㎝ lengths thin strips, put in a bowl and toss in a little of salt, let stand for 5-10 min, and squeeze the white radish to remove excess water.
  2. Drain the scallops in a strainer and tear in to small pieces, add them to the white radish and mix together. Add the granulated chicken stock and mayonnaise, and mix, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cut the green perilla in half and shred them. Arrange it on a serving dish and garnish with green perilla on top.
