Chili Beans チリビーンズ
Recipe type: Main Dish, Vegetables
Serves: 4 – 5

  • 400g pinto beans
  • 400g red kidney beans
  • 2 onion, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 6 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tbsp cornmeal
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice as you like Guidelines;
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • 1 sage
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp chili pepper
  • ¼ tbsp paprika

  1. Fry the onion and garlic in oil until onion turn golden brown.
  2. Add the tomatoes, spices, salt, pepper and 1 cup of the from either pinto beans. Simmer for 5 min.
  3. Add the cornmeal, cook slowly for least 1 hour.(If you want to use meat ; fry 400g ground meat with onions and garlic, drain the fat , and follow the recipe.
