Simmered Pacific Saucy with Sesame and Miso 秋刀魚のごまみそ煮

Serves: 4

  • 4 pacific saucy
  • 2 konb ginger
  • ½ cup sake
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1½ cup water
  • 4 tbsp miso
  • 3 tbsp grated sesame

  1. Cut off the head and tail part of pacific saucy and cut into 5㎝ wide pieces. Remove the innards with chopsticks and wash it running water.
  2. Cut the ginger into thinly slices.
  3. Put the sake, sugar, soy sauce, and water in a pan, and bring to the boil. Add the pacific saucy and ginger and simmer for about 3-4 min. Add the miso and sesame and simmer 3-4 min.
