Good Afternoon Everyone and Happy Fourth of July for the people in the US.  Hope your weekend went great.  I had to work all weekend and it was a very slow at work.  Wished I stayed home. lol

Cheese Fritter with Fresh ham and Avocado アボカドと生ハムのチーズフリット

Well Monday’s recipe on Cooking Japanese Style is a side dish called Cheese Fritter with fresh Ham and Avocado or アボカドと生ハムのチーズフリット in Japanese. This makes a great appetizer for when you have guest over and very easy to make when you have much time. Enjoy and we will see you all tomorrow.
  • 6 pieces fresh hams
  • 1 avocado, peel and remove the seed, cut it into 6 equal pieces
  • 90g shred cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • vegetable oil for deep fry
  • For Batter:
  • 30g flour
  • 10g cheese powder
  • 80cc beer

  1. Put the fresh ham on a cutting board. Put the avocado on a each fresh ham and sprinkle the salt and pepper. Put the shred cheese on top of the avocado, and roll.
  2. Combine the ingredients of the batter in a bowl, and mix well.
  3. Heat the oil at 175℃, deep- frying while coating the rolled avocados with batter for about 2-3 min.
